A Mission of Love, A Journey of Hope
No one should sleep hungry. No one should suffer alone. We are here to help.
About
Amudha Surabhi
Amudha Surabhi Welfare Charitable Trust was founded in February 2010 by Dr. T. Periyasamy, driven by the heartbreaking reality of people dying without even a single meal. What began as a simple effort to provide mid-day meals has now grown into a mission that feeds hundreds daily.
We serve food to the blind, homeless, elderly, immobile, and mentally or physically challenged individuals—many of whom live under flyovers, on roadside pavements, near government hospitals, or in underserved villages around Salem.
Initially, we provided meals to 50 people every Sunday. Over time, this grew and we serve mid-day meals to 300 people daily and feed 1,500 people every Sunday, ensuring that no one in our reach goes hungry.
Vision
We dream of a world where no one sleeps hungry. Our goal is to serve 3,000 meals every day and create a self-sustaining public kitchen to carry this mission forward for generations.
Mission
With the generous support of our friends and well-wishers, we continue to:
Our Commitment
Since 2010, every Sunday without fail, we have served food to the vulnerable and destitute. Since 2016, we have expanded to daily meals. Each meal contains rice, sambar, rasam, and drinking water.
Twice a year, we distribute blankets and clothing to help people stay warm. We continue to provide haircuts and bathing services to those who cannot care for themselves.
We enable the less privileged to earn college studies and lead an honorable life and support the distressed in need of medical aid.
We believe that everyone deserves dignity—whether it’s through food, medical support, or simply ensuring that those who die alone receive a proper funeral.
Our journey is far from over. With your support, we will continue fighting hunger, providing dignity, and empowering lives. Join us in making a difference.
